Finns are invited for the season closer on Lake Canandaigua, NY
It is one incredible sail if winds are strong.
If winds are from the West, it is a quick reach back and forth.
Alignment with the North-South direction of the lake ranks a close second.
It is a grueling test of sailing stubbornness and gets to be very picturesque
in southern half of the lake.
You can now register online for this annual event. This year will be a Rum Run Race. The first place winners in the Monohull and Multihull will win a bottle of Rum. There will also be prizes for 2nd and 3rd in each division.
If mother nature is kind to us and we finish in a reasonable amount of time, let’s gather at the waterfront for a tailgate party. Everyone please bring some kind of finger food to pass and the Flag will provide drinks.
