2020 Gulf Coast Championship was sailed despite COVID-19, which took some toll on the attendance. Darrell Peck “killed” it with 6 bullets. Michael Mark and James “Doc” Hunter finishes second and third respectively.
Cathy Cromartie and Randy Wainwright (co-Pro’s) ran 6 fantastic races ranging from 5 to 13 knots across 2 days. Harvey Jordan and his team created some magical shrimp gumbo with all the extras. The sailors were treated to outdoor dining in beautiful 78 degree weather with live music. Regatta Chair and Buccaneer Yacht Club commodore Jim “Doc” Hunter and all the volunteers showed everyone how hospitality is done right. D held a shore discussion on trim and setup while everyone talked about preparing for the Nationals next month in Mississippi.
