Just a reminder that pre regerstration for the BOD regatta ends on Monday May, 14
There will be a $50 late fee added on the 15th.

The BOD is the kick off for the 2018 Great Lakes Championship Series and will also be a points regatta for your ISAF World ranking.

The first event of the circuit this year will be at the Bayview Yacht Club in Detroit. The Bayview One Design (BOD Regatta) will be held June 2nd and 3rd. The race course is on lake St. Claire right in front of the Crescent Sail Club, the best part is that the commute to the start line is less then 5 minutes, and we can expect to get 10 races. The second event is June 16th and 17th Cleveland Race Week at Edgewater Yacht Club in Cleveland Ohio. This will be the first time that the Finns will be sailing CRW. There is a lot of interest in the Finn in Ohio and the hope is that a good Finn showing this year will lead to some more guys in Ohio getting into the boat. Registration for CRW is open…

We are also planning on a coaching Regatta with Darrell Peck at North Cape Yacht Club sometime in July (details to come)

The other events as of now will be
Great Lakes Championship in July, the dates of this event will probably coencid with D’s coaching Regatta
North American’s/ 50th Toilet Bowl Augest 10th -12th this event will be scored as 2 regattas for the World Sailing ranking system
CORK/ Lake Ontario championship Augest 16th-19th this event will be scored as 2 regattas for the World Sailing ranking system
Ford Yacht Club Frostbite September 30th and October 1st

We do have a few loaner boats available for these events if you know someone who is interested in sailing who doesn’t have a boat we can get them in one.

We have our own start at BOD and will need 7 boats for Cleveland.
